TRUE FRIEND

True is the saying:-
A friend in need,
Is a friend indeed.
He is the one whom we can trust,
And he comes to help us first.
Having a friend is a must,
But be sure that he is just.
A selfish friend comes and goes in a gust,
The friendship thereafter has no value and changes to dust.
And here I say not to make a mistake,
To join with anyone’s friendship which you feel is fake.
Choose a friend not by his looks,
But choose him definitely if he is good.
A friend will share everything with you,
Your things, your dreams and even your blues.
He can change your character and personality,
He could even shape up your mentality.
On having a friend the feeling is so nice,
Everything appears as cool as ice.
And now its time when I should go,
But be sure what I told, you follow.
In short I should say:-
If I am your true friend,
If you are my true friend,
This will be a great partnership,
Or I may rather say this is a true friendship.




This Poem was written in 2001 when I was studying in 9-A of St. Fidelis College. In the evening time, I was just having some lines going in my mind and thought to scribble up on paper. I sat in the verandah on a chair and just went on with the thoughts. This poem is personally very dear to me as I dedicate this poem to all my "true friends"
