FAILURE LEADS TO SUCCESS

Failure is something we shouldn't fear,

Failure is the one putting us to next gear;

It is something which encourages us to work hard,

It pushes us to success like a dart;

It makes us realize the realities of life,

Afterwards sharpen's our knowledge as sharp as knife;

It encourages us thereafter to give our best,

Therefore it helps us to stand out of the rest;

Failure is an inevitable milestone,

If we take it seriously we will never be alone;

The upcoming knowledge will ever be our friend,

It would keep us on the path of newly found trend;(of getting success after success)

Failure if retrospected seriously put upcoming failures to recess,

Therefore failure is surely the next step to success.

This is an award winning poem, literally!!. I took part in an english writing competition while in my 2nd semester of NIEC. I won the 1st prize with this composition of mine. I remember there were some competitors who were looking so intelligent by their face that it send me shudders down my spine. I sat near the window and wrote this poem. For much time I looked outside the window. After the end of competition I asked my senior(who were conducting that competition) to allow me to write that poem so that I can keep it with me forever

SONNET: POWER OF KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge is like a string,

You can stretch it like a spring.

Do you know you can find,

It is present in your mind.

If you eat it like a food,

You’ll be good in your mood.

You can share it with your friend,

It is the most popular trend.

It can be increased by your will,

Nobody asks for any bill.

You’ll be good in your thought,

And get ideas very lovely and hot.

It greatly increases your power,

One day you’ll shine like a star.

This was my very 1st poem. Though I don't remember the exact date of writing but it was published in hindustan times school times on tuesday december 5, 2000. I feel a hidden inspiration from the last line of this poem "one day you'll shine like a star". I thank to my class-teacher in St. Fidelis College, Mrs. Pinky Ma'am. If she hadn't asked the students to try writing a poem I wouldn't have ever discovered this talent of mine!

TEACHER-(Dedicated to: Digvijay sir)

Knowledge is valuable,

knowledge is infinite,
The person who attains it maximum,
works at the speed of light.
Knowledge is like a medicine,
knowledge is like an elixir,
The person who preaches knowledge,
is none,but the teacher.
I have a good class teacher who teaches us computer,Mr. D.N.Rai,
And often I find my marks in computer flying high.
He is jolly, he is smart,
And pushes us to success like a dart.
Teacher gives precious knowledge which never turns old,
Respect and listen to him and he will help you to grow bold.
Saying sincerely we like the rest,
But sir, you are the best.

Was written for our dear D.N.Rai(Digvijay Nand Rai) Sir while I was in 9-A (2001) of St. Fidelis College. I really got good marks in Computer Science(The subject that he taught us) that I thought of gifting him with this poem of mine. It is another matter that I fared badly in the board exams!!. He was the most happening teacher as far as my school life was concerned.
